Analysis of the demand for bridge cranes in Pakistan’s iron ore processing plants
Pakistan’s iron ore processing plants play a crucial role in the country’s industrial sector, contributing significantly to its economic growth. These plants require efficient and reliable lifting equipment to handle the heavy iron ore materials during various stages of processing. Bridge cranes are one of the most commonly used lifting devices in such facilities due to their versatility, capacity, and efficiency.
We have done a lot of bridge crane design and production for iron ore factories in Pakistan. If there are similar factories that need to purchase cranes, you can contact us. You can also read this article to learn about our analysis process when designing cranes for various factories. Let us first assume that the iron ore processing plant has an annual iron ore processing capacity of 5 million tons and the production line operates continuously 24 hours a day.
Raw materials and product characteristics
The raw material is mainly iron ore, which is heavy in weight and irregular in shape. Products include iron ore concentrate powder after crushing, screening, grinding and other processes, as well as some large pieces of iron ore that are directly used in steel smelting.
Crane usage scenarios
- Raw material storage area: The storage and retrieval of iron ore requires a crane to remove the iron ore from the storage pile and transport it to the production line.
- Production line area: In the production line, cranes are needed to transport iron ore from one place to another, such as from crusher to screener, or from screener to grinder.
- Finished product storage area: The processed concentrate powder or large iron ore is stored, and the crane needs to be stacked and retrieved.
Specific needs for bridge cranes
- Lifting capacity: Considering the weight of iron ore, the lifting capacity requirement of the crane is 15-20 tons.
- Span: Depending on the layout of the production line, the span requirement of the crane is approximately 20-25 meters.
- Working level: Since the production line requires continuous operation, the working level of the crane should be A6 or A7.
- Speed: In order to meet the continuous operation requirements of the production line, the operating speed, lifting speed and trolley running speed of the crane should be fast, but also stable.
- Protection level: Considering the environmental conditions of iron ore processing plants, the protection level of the crane should be IP55 or above.
- Safety devices: The crane should be equipped with complete safety devices, such as lifting weight limiter, lifting height limiter, large and small vehicle travel limiter, etc.
- Durability: The production environment of iron ore processing plants is relatively harsh, requiring cranes with high durability and reliability.
- Maintenance and maintenance: The manufacturer should provide comprehensive maintenance and upkeep services to ensure the long-term stable operation of the crane.
Other considerations
- Environmental protection requirements: The crane should minimize noise and dust emissions during operation to meet environmental protection requirements.
- Intelligence and automation: Consider introducing intelligence and automation technology to improve the operating efficiency and safety of the crane.
Please note that this is just an example of randomly generated overhead crane requirements based on the needs of an iron ore processing plant, and actual requirements may vary depending on the plant’s specific conditions, production processes and technical requirements. Before actual purchase, it is recommended to have in-depth communicat
