Introduction to KBK type flexible crane

KBK crane

The KBK flexible crane supplied by Dongqi Crane to Pakistan is an efficient and flexible material handling equipment. It fully utilizes the space under the bridge and is not limited by ground equipment, allowing for material lifting.

1、 Application scope of KBK crane standard components

1.1. Rated lifting capacity refers to the load-bearing capacity of a crane, and overloading is not allowed. Rated lifting capacity includes the lifted load and self weight load (such as lifting equipment).

1.2. KBK crane standard components are suitable for workshop operations, with an ambient temperature of -20 to 70 degrees. Special measures should be taken for applications outside of -20 to 70 degrees Celsius in outdoor and corrosive environments.

2、 Product types of KBK crane standard components

2.1 KBK Monorail Conveyor

2.2. KBK Flexible Single Main Beam Suspension Crane

2.3. KBK Flexible Double Main Beam Suspension Crane

3、 Installation of KBK Crane Standard Components

3.1 Safety Rules for Assembly and Installation of KBK Crane Standard Components

  • A. KBK crane standard components can only use original components, and lost parts such as screws, cotter pins, pins, and similar items cannot be replaced.
  • B. Bolted connections must be tightened, and bolt fasteners must be replaced after disassembly and assembly five times; Only appropriate tightening torque can ensure that the bolt fasteners do not loosen.
  • C. Check if the split pin passes through the holes of the suspension rod and ball rod, only then will the fastener not loosen.
  • D. When the load is suspended on the cantilever part of the crane, check whether the other end of the crane is lifted.
  • E. There should be sufficient space around the operating track suspension device for maintenance or to provide free passage.
  • F. Inspection must be carried out after completing the assembly work; Whether the car runs smoothly when passing through the track joint; Whether the interface of the sliding contact wire conductor is aligned; Whether the contact of the current collector is safe and reliable; Whether the dragging cable runs smoothly; The safe distance between adjacent components of buildings, machinery and similar objects.
  • G. It is necessary to provide the same number of grounding protection connection points as the input and output points of the power supply. Each connection must be disconnected separately as much as possible.
  • H. A power supply connection switch must be provided to connect the power supply to the power line of the KBK crane. It can cut off all phase lines of the crane, ensuring that the switch is placed in a place close to the crane and easily accessible, where there should be a prominent sign.
  • I. If two or more lifting equipment is powered from the same power source, each equipment should be equipped with an isolation switch, which can enable each crane to be maintained and repaired separately.

3.2 Installation of KBK Crane

A. Installation of running track

  1. Assemble the bowl, crossbar, screw, club, and deck together with bolts and split pins. Screw the screw into the club until the cotter pin can pass through the slender hole of the club and the hole of the screw, and then insert the cotter pin.
  2. Install the flexible suspension device onto the lifting track according to the requirements of the plan diagram.
  3. Install the crane track onto the load-bearing steel structure through a flexible suspension device, adjust the flexible suspension device to make it vertical, and adjust the levelness of the track by adjusting the screw and ball rod insertion depth.
  4. Connect the track section to the crane track through two bolts. Attention: During installation, the rail interface end should not be misaligned, and there should be no resistance when the car pushes over the joint; Ensure that the bolts are tightened reliably and evenly. If the joint bolts are tightened at one end compared to the other, the track will bend; The track should not be subjected to force during installation, as this will cause the opening of the track to narrow; When hanging several tracks, they must be in a straight line within the same horizontal plane.
  5. After installing the crane operating device, suspension line slider, and intermediate buffer into the track, install the anti-collision limit end cover.
  6. Internal sliding line KBK rail docking: First, check if the conductor interface at the interface corresponds, then insert the short end of the sliding contact line connector into the conductor interface, and finally dock the rails (note that the sliding contact lines should correspond one-to-one and not be misaligned).

B. Installation of KBK flexible suspension crane

  1. Fix the main beam suspension device on the crane main beam according to the span of the crane.
  2. Connect the main beam suspension device to the trolley or load-bearing beam on the track. When the crane is arranged at a right angle to the track, the main beam suspension device should be made vertical.
  3. Install small cars, suspension line sliders or electric drive devices, install intermediate buffers, install anti-collision limit end caps and rail end cable clamps.
  4. For the double main beam suspension crane, first connect the double main beam running trolley bracket to the manual trolley, and then install a triangular plate so that the two main beams are parallel and at right angles to the track.

C. Hanging hoist

  1. The installation position of the hanging ring of the chain hoist must ensure that the power connection inlet of the hoist is facing the direction of power supply.
  2. Connect the lifting ring of the chain electric hoist to the manual trolley or the load-bearing capacity using a pin shaft.
  3. For other information on assembly, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance, please refer to the user manual of the chain electric hoist.

D. Installation and wiring of KBK electrical equipment

Firstly, install the electrical control and crane switch box, and then proceed with wiring according to the wiring diagram. Attention: It should be ensured that the flat cable does not twist along its length during installation. Firmly tighten all nuts and bolts at the cable fixing points.

4、 Operation of KBK Crane Standard Components

4.1 Safety Rules for Operating Standard Components of KBK Crane

A. KBK crane operators must master the relevant usage norms related to crane use and operation, and must also receive sufficient training in crane operation and use; Personnel who are not responsive due to the influence of drugs, alcohol, or drugs are not allowed to operate, maintain, or repair cranes.

B. Before using the KBK crane, ensure that the equipment is in a safe and correct operating state.

C. There is an emergency stop button installed on the switch. If there is a danger of immediate or potential personal injury or damage to facilities and equipment, the emergency stop button must be pressed immediately.

4.2 Strict prohibitions during the operation of KBK lifting standard components

A. Personnel transportation is not allowed.

B. It is not allowed to lift loads above personnel.

C. Overloading is not allowed.

D. It is not allowed to leave the load in the suspended position for a long time without personnel monitoring. At the end of the work, the crane must be in a unloaded condition.

E. It is not allowed to move the chain electric hoist by pulling the hand switch. The trolley should be moved by pulling the load, lifting device, or load-bearing hook component to shift the chain electric hoist.

F. Do not let the load fall when the chain is in a loose state, as the resulting impact load will cause danger and serious damage to the crane.

G. Avoid micro movement, that is, quickly and continuously jog the motor.

5、 Inspection of KBK Crane Standard Components

5.1 Inspection of KBK crane standard components before use

A. The workspace must have a clear target.

B. It is necessary to check whether the voltage and frequency of the power supply are consistent with the conditions specified on the label.

C. All safety distances should be checked.

D. It is necessary to check that the crane and lifting trolley feel no resistance when moving by hand throughout the entire length of the track.

E. It is necessary to check the functions of control devices (such as hand switches), wireless control devices, limit switches, brakes, buffers, and safety devices.

5.2 Daily inspection of KBK crane standard components

6.2 Maintenance of KBK Crane Standard Components

A. Removing a small car or other device from a long or enclosed track: This operation cannot be achieved simply by removing the end cover, and the connecting device of the track joint must also be removed.

  1. Cut off the power connection switch.
  2. The tracks at the track joints should be prevented from falling off (steel wire ropes can be used for pre hanging).
  3. Loosen the bolt connection of the track joint, and the bolt must remain in the connecting pipe.
  4. Pull open the rail joint (so that the sliding contact wire connector is loose at one end of the KBK rail).
  5. Push a section of the track to be dismantled so that the ends of the track are staggered in sequence.
  6. Pull out the car or other decorations from the track for inspection.

B. When the sliding shaft head on the collector car is worn out, the entire collector must be replaced. After removing the end cover and track joint, the collector car at the end of the track can be removed.

  1. Loosen and remove the nuts on the terminal block.
  2. Remove the current collector for replacement.
  3. Tighten the nuts appropriately and check whether each collector can move freely by briefly pressing the collector. When placing the collector car on the track, ensure that the phase lines L1 to L3 are wired correctly.
