We have designed and manufactured an overhead crane for a prefabricated building systems company in Pakistan, which will help them optimize the production line of a concrete factory. The client is a Pakistani company that supplies prefabricated building systems. We design and manufacture a customized elevated process crane for the transportation and handling of concrete at our production plant located in the southwestern province of Balochistan. Through this optimization process, the prefabricated building system company not only improved the overall performance of the production line, but also laid a solid foundation for future sustainable development.

The process of designing bridge cranes for concrete factories

During the communication process, the customer expressed that the demand for the crane this time is to optimize manufacturing performance and logistics, carry out major repairs to its concrete factory and production line, and continuously integrate new processes for its products. The bridge crane currently in use on the production line is outdated and its design is not suitable for its concrete slab manufacturing process.

The crane must transport 3.6 tons of concrete from the production plant to the hopper, about 10 meters away, where the concrete slab is poured. When upgrading the system, customers need it to be automated to ensure greater safety for concrete loads, as their liquid properties make them unstable and they are off center relative to the crane.

As the approach dimensions were reduced, the crane had to be made to measure.

We propose a 5-ton double beam bridge (5 x 14 meters) with electric hoists and steel wire rope dual outlets. Due to the load shifting from the crane, the two lifting points ensure the stability of the crane. This crane provides variable travel speed and, together with ergonomic hooks, achieves precise load positioning.

At the top position, the load is fixed in the funnel by an electric jack to ensure it is closed. And its handling is safe.

The double beam crane is suspended, which reduces its proximity to size, especially in the casting area where the operator is responsible for manually controlling the load. The double track car is also suspended.

We completed the project within five months from design to debugging. The customer is satisfied with the advantages of the new process crane: more compact, safer, and easier to handle.

How Customized Bridge Cranes Optimize Production Lines

Generally speaking, after gaining a deep understanding of existing production line processes, it is often possible to identify areas for optimization in terms of crane operation efficiency, load capacity, accuracy, and safety. Customized bridge cranes can be designed according to the specific needs of the production line, which can more accurately meet the material handling requirements during the production process. By optimizing the load capacity, movement speed, and accuracy of the crane, the time and labor costs of material handling can be significantly reduced, thereby improving the overall efficiency of the production line.

By introducing advanced sensors, control systems, and automation equipment, customized bridge cranes can achieve seamless integration with other equipment on the production line, improving the automation level of the production line. This not only reduces manual intervention, but also improves production consistency and quality stability.

Customized bridge cranes can be designed personalized according to the layout and space limitations of the production line to maximize space utilization. For example, by optimizing the track layout and movement path of the crane, dead corners and obstacles on the production line can be reduced, and the smoothness and space utilization of the production line can be improved.
